Mr Justice Warby at the High Court of Justice has given the go ahead for the 500,000 or so victims of the 2018 cyber-attacks to sue British Airways for compensation.
Our firm has been formally appointed to the Steering Committee for the BA Group Action. This means that we will be at the forefront of the action as we continue our fight for justice for the victims of last year’s data breach incidents.
We’ve received a huge influx of new cases over the weekend following Friday’s success at Court. As a law firm who are open seven days a week, our team has been busy over the weekend as clients get started on their journey toward compensation.
Can you sue British Airways for compensation?
You could be entitled to join the thousands of others and sue British Airways for compensation as a victim of the 2018 cyberattack incidents.
It’s easy to find out if you can claim with our No Win, No Fee representation. All you need to do is check your eligibility on the BA Group Action website here. You can also get started right away as well, and with estimated pay-outs in the £6,000.00 region, it’s important to get your case started sooner rather than later.
You do not want to miss the deadline to claim. If you do, you may be unable to benefit from any of the settlements that take place in the action. We still get enquires from people who have missed the deadlines for previous actions, and we sadly must turn those individuals away.
Key court victory last Friday
Last Friday’s green light for the Group Litigation Order (GLO) to go ahead from Justice Warby was a key victory in the fight for victims to be able to sue British Airways for compensation.
Speaking about the decision, Aman Johal, director of Your Lawyers, said:
“Today’s grant of a Group Litigation Order is a key step towards justice for the hundreds of thousands of victims of the British Airways data breach scandal.
Today is a landmark moment in legal history, and we will continue to champion consumer rights until justice is duly served.”
