- Addresses;
- Email addresses;
- Bank account information (including sort codes).
Essentially, any data processed during the breach period may have been exposed.
A TV licensing spokesperson said: “For a limited period certain transactions carried out on our website were not as secure as they should have been.”
They also said that they’re “really sorry this happened”.
Anyone whose information has been exposed in the breach may be at risk of fraud where the data is abused by criminals. Victims should take care to keep an eye on their bank accounts and speak to their bank for help and assistance.
