After the huge 2015 TalkTalk data breach, a number of customers – including ones we’ve helped – reported being contacted by fraudsters who were posing as TalkTalk. That’s how they convinced them they were the real deal.
As such, it’s believed that the fraudsters may have gained this information from the TalkTalk cyber-attack.
